Gondola mountain bike carriers

NOTE:  Gondola models have to be built with a prototype that needs to be tested in the fall prior to your operating season.

Deasonbuilt’s bike carriers in action at Whistler’s Creekside gondola.
Notice how easy it is for riders to load and unload their own bikes.

Deasonbuilt gondola bike carriers are being used at these resorts:

  • Whistler Canada (Creekside) – detachable Poma gondola
  • Steamboat CO –  one eight-passenger detachable Doppelmayr gondola
  • Northstar at Tahoe CA – one six-passenger detachable Doppelmayr gondola and one eight-passenger/six-passenger chair detachable Doppelmayr “chondola”
  • Sun Valley ID – one eight-passenger detachable Doppelmayr gondola

SUN VALLEY ID

Gondola bike carriers are ideal for a gondola that you’re already running in summer operation. These carriers hold up to 4 mountain bikes securely and can be designed to fit most models and applications.

NORTH STAR

The bike carrier pictured was installed in 2007 at Northstar’s Zephyr “Chondola”. What’s a Chondola? A Chondola is a chair/gondola combination. Notice the “six pack” chair behind it? Northstar runs two gondolas with Deasonbuilt bike carriers.

STEAM BOAT

In 2012 Deasonbuilt redesigned the Gondola bike carrier. We made it lighter and easier to load. The new design comes in two main pieces that can be unbolted for storage. This new design allows us to offer a tough hot dipped galvanized carrier instead of a powder coated finish. The bike carrier shown is one of twenty units built for Steamboat’s gondola in the spring of 2013.
